Originally from Austin, Texas, Elyse Reed began experimenting with artistic mediums and styles throughout her teenage years. Primarily self-taught, she gravitates towards oil and acrylic paints to translate daily observations into unique, dreamlike works of art. By focusing on the process of creating and its catharsis, she allows her personal style to ebb and flow, rather than be trapped by the pursuit of a finished or cohesive body of work.

Elyse has hopes of furthering her involvement in the art community, both in Texas and abroad. Having moved to Scotland in 2022 to pursue a degree in Archaeology at the University of Glasgow, her time overseas has allowed her the opportunity to visit some of Europe's greatest masterpieces. This in turn has greatly influenced her artistic process. She now resides in San Antonio, Texas on a gap year focusing on her artwork, with hopes to continue her studies in Fall 2025.
